From Thank You Note WordingThoughtful Words For A Thank You Note
For All Occasions
Thank You Gift LetterIt's rather easy to write a thank you gift letter because the format is always the same. First the date, salutation, your thank you gift letter message, the closing and last, your signature.
You can break it down this way:
1. Write The Date:
July 31, 2008
2. Write The Salutation:
Dear (Person's name goes here)
'Dear' is the most popular salutation to use, but you can use 'Dearest' for a loved one, or use your own term of endearment - it just depends on the situation.
Always use a comma following the salutaion and addressee's name for all handwritten thank you gift letters and thank you notes, either social or casual.
When writing a thank you gift letter to a couple, you can write the letter to one of them and mention the other in the text of the thank you gift letter, or you can address it to the both of them.
Remember to use 'Mr and Mrs' for formal thank you gift letters and use first names for more intimate or casual relationships.
3. Write The Content Of Your Thank You Gift Letter:
Thank the person for the gift as genuinely as you can. Add some thank you words like, 'I really look forward to seeing you soon' , or 'I hope you're doing well', or 'the kids send their love'.
4. Write The Closing:
For formal thank you gift letters
Sincerely, Sincerely Yours, Very sincerely, or Very sincerely yours.
For loved ones and close relationships - well...you know what to do, right?
